Hugging Heroes’ official launch was on October 10th, 2015 at Rutgers’ Blackout game versus Michigan State. Hugging Heroes is centered around a social challenge:
1. The Hugging Challenge, to share an image of you hugging your hero (“hero” being anyone or anything)
2. Post it on Facebook
3. Challenge your friends to do the same using #HuggingHeroes. Similar to the famous “Ice Bucket Challenge”.
Visit the Mendoza Marble and Granite Facebook page to learn more about the donation program and to see photos of the awesome people who have participated in Hugging Heroes and are helping spread the word about childhood cancer. Please visit HuggingHeroes.com to donate and participate in the Hugging Challenge! target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Hugging Heroes is a multi-charity campaign designed to promote awareness for pediatric cancer, and to inspire action to support the fight against it.
The campaign is centered on a challenge:
•Participants will record a video of themselves “hugging their heroes”
•Nominate friends to complete the challenge
•Post the clips to social media
With your help, this campaign can change the way childhood cancer is viewed in America. Something as small as a symbolic hug can have a tremendous impact in today’s world because it brings this problem to the attention of the people, so please share this campaign with everyone you can, and help give our young heroes hope.
