John J. Gantner
President and CEO of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
Mr. Gantner previously served as Executive Vice President and Treasurer of RWJUH, where he held various positions spanning 14 years between 1993 and 2007. Mr. Gantner joined RWJBarnabas Health and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital after serving in the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for BayCare Health System in southwest Florida. Previously, he also served as Executive Vice President of Finance and Partner Company Operations at Meridian Health System located in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, NJ. Earlier in his career, John held positions at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and was a partner in the international accounting and consulting firm of Ernst & Young. Mr. Gantner completed his undergraduate and graduate education at Lehigh University and Lehigh University Graduate School of Business, is a member of both the American Institute and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, has served as a board member of several non-profit organizations, and is both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Managerial Accountant. John, his wife Alison, and their dog Gator are residents of South Seaside Park, NJ.
