Congratulations to Winter Gala Honoree Mrs. Kelly Green!

The 2014 Ellen Gambatese Volunteer of the Year Award honors Kelly Green. Kelly exemplifies the true definition of generosity. Her contributions have helped so many children battling cancer. Thank you Kelly, from the bottom of our hearts! Kelly Green is the owner and creative director of Digital Canvas LLC. She is extremely honored to be receiving the Volunteer of the Year award for the Hugs for Brady Foundation. For the past five years, she has worked with Mike Wells doing graphic design for his company through her company, Digital Canvas. She has walked alongside Mike and Sherrie from Brady’s birth through the horrors of his cancer. To this day, Kelly volunteers her time and talents for any graphic or web design need of the Hugs for Brady Foundation. The Digital Canvas team is proud to be part of the Hugs for Brady Foundation and share its vision to make the world a better place for children. Kelly has never met Sherrie or Mike in person. All communication has been done online and by phone until tonight, when, for the first time, Kelly will meet and have a chance to give them long-overdue handshakes and hugs.

Kelly and Matt, her husband of 18 years, have three children and now live in Hartville, Ohio. As newlyweds, they spent the first 10 years of their marriage living in New York, following Kelly’s dream to work as a graphic designer in New York City. She achieved her childhood dream and fine tuned her skills at an ad agency in midtown Manhattan for more than five years before launching Digital Canvas in September 2001. In September 2004, Kelly and Matt welcomed their first son, Aidan. While her passion for graphic design was still very strong, her priorities shifted with a stronger pull toward closeness with their families back in Ohio. Thanks to the beauty of online technology, Kelly, Matt, and Aidan were able to move to Ohio and Kelly retained her position as a graphic designer for many of the clients she gained while in New York. Today, Digital Canvas is a five-person team that enjoys creating works in print design, web design, logo design, email campaigns and product photography. Digital Canvas is nationally registered as a Woman-Owned Business, and caters to clients large and small in the United States, as well as Canada, Mexico, Australia, and the Netherlands. Kelly loved living and working in New York for those 10 years, but is thankful she moved back to Ohio when she did. Kelly and Matt were blessed with twins on September 12, 2007 – the same month and day as their older brother and the day they launched Digital Canvas. All three kids enjoy being close to family members, and Kelly feels the satisfaction of knowing she went for – and reached – her dream. Her gratitude goes to God for His guidance along the way, her husband for his unfailing support and her children for their ability to easily keep her priorities in line with just a laugh and a hug.
