Jodi Brywka
For the past 5 years, Jodi Brywka has been the co-race director alongside Dave Brockman and Tom Morris for the Hugs for Brady Twilight 5K and Kids Fun Run. She is very honored to be receiving the Volunteer of the Year Award from this wonderful organization.
Jodi and her husband of 14 years, Dave, have two daughters and live in Franklin Park, NJ. They started out living in Mount Laurel, but soon after the birth of their daughter Lily in 2004, they decided to move so they could be closer to Jodi’s parents. They ended up moving in right next-door to Jodi’s childhood home, where her parents still reside. Jodi now had a built-in daycare right next-door for Lily and new baby sister, Abigail, who arrived in 2007. This move also brought Jodi much closer to her job as a 6th grade teacher at Crossroads South Middle School in South Brunswick, NJ. After 14 years of teaching, Jodi is still excited to go into the classroom every day to do what she loves– working with her students.
Jodi and Sherrie have been life-long friends who grew up as neighbors. As a child, Jodi looked up to Sherrie as her voice of wisdom. Today, Jodi continues to admire Sherrie and her dedicated efforts to grow this amazing organization and help kids with who are battling cancer.
