Monmouth County, NJ – August 13, 2014 – The MAX Challenge, the tri-state area’s fastest growing fitness concept, is pleased to announce that its recent Third Annual MAX Olympics held this month at iPlay America’s Freehold location raised over $36,000 for the Hugs for Brady Foundation to help children who are fighting cancer.
Well over 1,000 attendees participated in the event including Bryan Klein, Founder and CEO of The MAX Challenge, along with fellow MAX owners, members and representatives. Over 22 MAX Challenge center representatives from facilities located throughout the Monmouth and Middlesex county areas participated in a variety of physical challenges.
“I can’t express how extremely humbled I am after this year’s MAX Olympics,” remarked Klein. “To see over 1,000 MAX members band together to support the Hugs for Brady Foundation is very rewarding. It just proves that when a group of people contribute just a little bit of time or money, it can really add up to make a huge difference. Our members had such an amazing day, and more importantly, each dollar raised goes directly to the search for a pediatric cancer cure.”
There were plenty of fun and challenging activities that took place throughout the day. Participants and families took part in a Radio Disney TRYathlon, a hula hoop competition, inflatable obstacle courses from Party Perfect Rentals, and other fun fitness activities. Moreover, iPlay America invited each and every family into the facility to enjoy video games, rides, food and entertainment.
The Hugs for Brady Foundation supports all causes concerning pediatric cancer by providing direct grants and services. The foundation also helps the funding of New Jersey’s first Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Young Investigator program. Proceeds from the MAX Olympics event will have an immediate and direct impact on local families fighting cancer.
Each year, The MAX Challenge chooses a local non-profit charity to support through its MAX Olympics event. Prior to the Hugs for Brady Foundation, proceeds from prior MAX Olympics events went to The Beauty Foundation for cancer care and The Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America.
