While financial donations are extremely important, children in the pediatric oncology unit desperately need our blood donations.
Stop by after work on September 16th, to give blood and help kids battling cancer. Meet and network with people who possess a kind and giving soul (like yourself) and have some fun!- To take part in this networking event, the fee is only 1 pint of blood!
- It is advised to bring 100+ business cards
- Vendor tables/chairs/tablecloth are provided to you with a $250 donation
- Sponsorships (including a vendor table and your name in all media) available for a $500 donation

RWJUH NBAH and The Palace at Somerset Park, our Hugs for Brady Angel Sponsor, will be hosting a Blood Drive and Professional Networking Event on Wednesday, September 16th, 2015. The event will be much more than just a standard blood drive. Meet, network and make connections with great people. Outstanding food and beverages will be provided by the Palace at Somerset Park. This HUGE networking event is from 3:30-7:45 pm on Wednesday, September 16th. Come by after work, be productive, make new contacts, and donate blood! Check out Gatsby’s on the 2nd floor for pre-blood and post-blood donation food and beverages. All Donors will receive a RWJUH T-Shirt & 4 (four) $25.00 Gift Cards will be Raffled! Please drink plenty of water prior to your scheduled appointment time and don’t forget to bring your ID.

We are always in need of blood, especially type O. Donating is simple and generally requires little time.
- 90% of people need a blood donation at some point in their lives– your child, could be one of them
- Babies undergoing heart surgery need blood that is no more than 5 days old
- Countless numbers of children involved in accidents need blood transfusions almost immediately
- Some children with certain medical conditions, need one to 10 units of blood per month
- Depending on the size of the patient, one unit of blood can be used for as many as four of five children
- Newborns have only one cup of blood in their bodies.
- You can give blood every two months (or eight weeks)
- When you give, you give one pint of blood. The average person has 8-12 pints of blood in their body.
